Happy Earth Day! Such a great visit to San Diego on April 11! So grateful that the screening didn't get canceled despite the squeeze on many UC departments. Thanks, Wayne Yang for making sure the funding was in place, Elana Zilberg, Erin Suzuki for participating on the panel and Maiya Kuida-Osumi for being the original seed and an awesome moderator! Thanks to all for a thoughtful conversation and screening! So great to be able to share with UCSD NSU students to prime them for their trip to the Manzanar Pilgrimage this weekend.

Last Thursday, I was so honored to screen at the Natural History Museum's new, beautiful theater! So amazing to see it in my childhood favorite museum with the dinosaurs and garden just next door. Full circle moment, sharing about water with Los Angeles at the Natural History Museum. Thank you NHM and VC. Happy Earth Day!

Thank you @vcmediaorg for these amazing #vcfilmfest2024 photos. Recap of the day: We had #SusieKozawa, found objects sound artist and part of the sound team of @manzanardiverted perform live immersive sound and music to a theater full of people for a collective visual sound bath meditation experience. Afterwards, @transienteditoriallaborer helped @jykfilms and @annakemikaneko transport audience members to Payahuunadü through our VR headset experience.

“Manzanar, Diverted: The Immersive Experience” has arrived! Yesterday, we had Susie Kozawa, an amazing sound artist, do a live coloring of the soundscape for our Visual Soundbath Meditation experience at @vcmediaorg #vcfilmfest2024. Afterwards, audience members engaged with our VR Headset that transported them to Payahuunadü, the land of flowing water.
